Boba Fett Helmet

Alright here is one of those projects that might never leave the ground unless I get with the program and finish some projects around the house first. Good news is that I will get some feel for some of the materials I'm using while doing these house projects.

Ok, here is the Goal: Make one master quality prop replica of Boba Fett's Mandalorian Helmet from ESB. To do that my plan would be to:

1. Find reference images
2. Designate a work place
3. Have a design
4. Build a mock up
Decide on building materials
6. Construct
7. Paint

This will be my first project of this nature. I am assuming that labor will be long and difficult as I learn to use the materials and equipment.

Fortunately I have already complied plenty of reference and also have a helmet design provided by Alan Sindar of The Dented Helmet (an organization dedicated to making prop replicas of our favorite Bounty Hunters). So step 1 and 3 are pretty much done and I could move on to step 4 but I don't really have a work space because my office is still a mess from the move to our new house and I need to find a new table.

So with some work and a little luck you will see some more posts as I complete different phases of this project.

I printed out the helmet template last night and to my dispare it doesn't fit on standard paper so I'll probably print it on legal sheet sized paper. If my EPSON 4800 was working I could use that... sigh
